The Section IV Class C semifinal playoff football game took place on sunny Fall day on the turf field of host Johnson City High School. The unseasonally warm and often windy conditions saw the Bobcats roar out to a 14-0 lead by the end of the first quarter of the 11AM game time.
Completely reversing their fortunes of a week ago on a cold dark game in Oneonta facing these same Yellow Jackets from Oneonta where Lansing was quickly down 20-0. This time out saw Joe Miller-Labar taking a handoff up the middle and covering 54 yards for the games first score. Griffen Nelson and Dakota Johnson teamed up to plug the Oneonta kickoff returner. Offensive linemen Nelson and Kade Bennett were relied on early to pave the way around the left side for the Lansing offensive attack with first quarter success. Center Alex Powers pushed the middle back for the 2 yard quarterback sneak by Garrett Bell giving the Bobcats the 14-0 lead going into the second quarter.
